How Wegamed works in Europe

…it mostly works badly…

In October 2025, we purchased the Test Expert device from Wegamed. The system was presented as being able to analyze up to 6,000 items in the human body. However, after installation, the included Excel database showed a total of 5,300 items instead.

What truly shocked us — and ultimately led us to attempt to return the device — was the fact that the item for borreliosis did not include all, or even a reasonable portion, of the strains that occur in Europe. Even the Czech laboratory Synlab, a standard diagnostic laboratory, lists them. The system contained essentially only “Borrelia” and “Borrelia burgdorferi.” Dr. Šabat himself used to say that the system sometimes indicates the absence of a pathogen, but when he opens the pathogen and expands it into its subtypes, the pathogen suddenly appears as active or positive.

Dr. Molleney

However, according to our conversation, Dr. Molleney from the company Wegamed does not consider bacteria to have a strong potential for persistence — something he claims applies mainly to viruses. Dr. Molleney is (as he states) the manufacturer of this device, but he apparently does not know much about Borrelia.

We were initially informed by Dr. Molleney that we should obtain the samples ourselves and that they would be able to digitize them onto a card for the device — in other words, create the appropriate digital ampoules. However, when we asked where such samples could be obtained and how much they cost, he immediately replied that “they are not a laboratory and therefore cannot perform the digitization for us,” supposedly because we are “the only ones” requesting it.

We were then referred to the honeycomb area — the section of the device where physical samples are inserted if they are not available electronically. But we simply could not find out where such samples are located or how to acquire them, except for one contact at the company Bicom, which offered to provide the samples (i.e., test ampoules) for a few hundred Czech crowns, or equivalently a few dozen U.S. dollars.

Are physical ampoules from Bicom necessary for operating the Test Expert?

If we decided to keep the device, we would be dependent on physical ampoules, which is an outdated system — or we would have to cooperate with the company BICOM.

Quite ironic… In 2018, BICOM offered us a device in the Czech Republic, and that offer included ten times more written manuals and documentation than what we received from Wegamed.

Wegamed did not provide any extensive work compendium for the device, not even after the purchase. As for any publication that would explain the medical approach in greater depth — that is entirely out of the question. Such literature can only be purchased second-hand online in various antiquarian bookstores, and considering its age and the names of the authors, it gives us the subjective impression that Dr. Molleney may not be such a great inventor of the device after all. The follow-up basic training, which lasted about 30 minutes, essentially encouraged us to purchase additional courses.

The whole situation is at least unclear. The first person who began promoting this device back in the late 1990s was Dr. Martin Šabat from Jilemnice, who worked with its primitive predecessor, the Vega device. That system actually tested with physical ampoules and measured energetic deficiencies on meridians, which, according to Dr. Šabat, was considerably more complicated and not as precise.

After using the device intensively for about twelve years, this doctor replaced it with a newer one. I remember him saying that the company added the borreliosis data to his card afterward. Personally, I am convinced that the company’s management before around 2010 was completely different from the current one — and that when Dr. Šabat purchased his second Test Expert device, he simply removed the VD card from the first device and inserted it into the second one. I honestly have no other explanation for the situation.

Now, regarding the actual testing with the device

The device was delivered to us by courier. It included accessories for energetic testing and, supposedly, some basic capability for therapeutic functions — something we were never able to confirm.

We were invited by the company to an online installation call during which the manager installed the software — a sort of patient database with the ability to save pathological measured values simply by pressing a button on the measurement pen. That part worked.

The company also provided, on a flash drive, a basic device manual and a brief operating guide — together about 100 pages of sparse PDF text. This is in stark contrast to companies like TimeWaver, which provide 850 + 150 pages of compendiums even without purchasing anything. Biorezonanz3000 even offers regular training sessions entirely free of charge. And the level of support and service provided by BICOM in the Czech Republic — I personally requested their materials in 2017 — cannot even be compared. They are friendly, open, and responsive.

But let us return to Wegamed. The manager explained how to work with the measurement pen, how to apply only a specific amount of pressure to the acupuncture area (3–4 illuminated LEDs), and how to reach a reading of approximately 80% on the measurement scale. My partner and I spent two full days testing everything possible on each other. We performed around 2,000 tests, but unfortunately, we were unable to reach these values or detect any variations in measurements at all. The device continued to show the same results, even though my partner suffers from severe pollen allergies and I am missing my tonsils. Testing for borreliosis was completely impossible. The primary reason for purchasing the device — borreliosis — simply could not be achieved.

We then attempted to negotiate a refund and to return the Test Expert device, but this was unsuccessful. As a result, we asked the company whether they could exchange the testing device for a therapeutic one (Wegamed Med Select). We knew it was similar to the BICOM system and that with such a device we could at least start a small practice, offering bioresonance services in the Czech Republic and generating some income. The additional payment amounted to approximately €3,300.

However, no discount was offered on this second device. In total, we paid €15,700 for the equipment. It is now November 11, 2025, and we are waiting for a new package from Essen, Germany, to finally unpack the therapeutic device and start working with it.

A week later, an email arrived advertising a Black Friday promotion — a 20% discount on all Wegamed devices. It is obvious that Wegamed and the head of sales, Marc Lockman, executed a perfect commercial move. He sensed that, despite our interest in information, we struggled to operate and apply the original device in practice, and he offered us the highest possible price. Our desperate situation left us with no choice but to accept it.

This is a review

Wegamed Med Select:

We asked the company two modest questions — we did not dare to ask more, given the situation we were in. We asked whether the Wegamed Med Select device is capable of producing drops according to homeopathic dilution, and whether there are any customer references for the device. We did not receive an answer regarding the drops, nor did we receive any information about references. The company has therefore given us a wonderful opportunity to write this review, and they really do not need to thank us for it.

When we asked why the device is significantly more expensive than the testing unit, even though years ago it used to be cheaper — especially considering the prices at that time — we also received no answer. The company only replied to the inquiry by stating that the device is certified throughout the entire European Union.
