“…overall, its performance is largely unsatisfactory…
In October 2025, we purchased the Test Expert device from Wegamed. The system had been advertised as capable of analyzing up to 6,000 items in the human body. However, after installation, we discovered that the accompanying Excel database contained only 5,300 items.

What truly shocked us — and ultimately led us to attempt to return the device — was the discovery that the entry for borreliosis did not contain all, or even a reasonable selection of, the strains commonly found in Europe. Even standard diagnostic laboratories, such as Synlab in the Czech Republic, list them routinely. In contrast, the system included essentially only “Borrelia” and “Borrelia burgdorferi.”
Dr. Šabat himself often noted that the device sometimes reports a pathogen as absent, yet once he opens the pathogen entry and expands it into its subtypes, the supposedly absent pathogen suddenly appears as active or positive.
However, according to our discussion, Dr. Molleney from Wegamed does not consider bacteria to have significant persistence — a property he believes applies primarily to viruses. Dr. Molleney is, as he presents himself, the manufacturer of the device, yet he appears to have limited knowledge about Borrelia.

We were initially informed by Dr. Molleney that we should obtain the samples ourselves and that Wegamed would be able to digitize them onto a card for the device — in other words, create the corresponding digital ampoules. However, when we asked where such samples could be sourced and what the costs would be, he immediately replied that they are not a laboratory and therefore cannot perform the digitization for us, supposedly because we were the only ones making such a request.
He then directed us to use the honeycomb section — the area of the device where physical samples are inserted when no digital version is available. Yet despite repeated inquiries, we were unable to determine where such physical samples could actually be obtained or how they should be used, with the sole exception of a contact at the company Bicom, which offered to provide the samples (i.e., test ampoules) for only a few hundred Czech crowns, or equivalently, a few dozen U.S. dollars.
Are physical ampoules from BICOM necessary for operating the Test Expert?
If we were to keep the device, we would become dependent on physical ampoules, which is an outdated system — or we would have to rely on cooperation with the company BICOM.
The situation is rather ironic… Back in 2018, BICOM offered us a device in the Czech Republic, and their offer included ten times more written manuals and documentation than anything we received from Wegamed.
Wegamed did not provide any comprehensive work compendium for the Test Expert — not even after the purchase. And when it comes to any publication that would explain the medical methodology behind the system in greater depth, that is entirely absent. Such literature can only be found second-hand in various online antiquarian bookstores, and considering its age and the authors, it leaves us with the subjective impression that Dr. Molleney may not be the great inventor of the device he claims to be.
The subsequent “basic training,” which lasted approximately 30 minutes, essentially served only to encourage us to purchase additional courses.
The entire situation is, at the very least, unclear. The first person to begin promoting this device in the late 1990s was Dr. Martin Šabat from Jilemnice, who had worked with its primitive predecessor — the Vega device. That system relied on physical ampoules and measured energetic deficiencies along meridians, which, according to Dr. Šabat, was considerably more complicated and far less precise.
After using the device intensively for roughly twelve years, this doctor eventually replaced it with a newer model. I remember him mentioning that the company later added the borreliosis data to his card. Personally, I am convinced that the company’s management prior to around 2010 was entirely different from what it is today — and that when Dr. Šabat purchased his second Test Expert device, he simply removed the VD card from the first unit and inserted it into the second one. Honestly, I have no other explanation for the situation.
Now, regarding the actual testing with the device:
The device was delivered to us by courier. It included accessories for energetic testing and supposedly also offered some basic therapeutic functionalities — although we were never able to verify that.
The company invited us to an online installation call, during which the manager remotely installed the software — essentially a patient database with the ability to store pathological measurement values by simply pressing a button on the measurement pen. That part worked.
The company also provided, on a flash drive, a basic device manual and a short operating guide — together roughly 100 pages of sparse PDF text. This stands in stark contrast to companies like TimeWave, which supply extensive compendiums of 850 + 150 pages, even before any purchase is made. Biorezonanz3000 offers regular training sessions entirely free of charge. And the level of support and service provided by BICOM in the Czech Republic — I personally requested their materials back in 2017 — is beyond comparison. Their communication is friendly, open, and genuinely helpful.
But let us return to Wegamed. The manager demonstrated how to work with the measurement pen, how much pressure to apply to the acupuncture point (3–4 illuminated LEDs), and how to achieve a reading of approximately 80% on the measurement scale. My partner and I spent two full days testing everything possible on each other. We conducted around 2,000 measurements, but unfortunately, we were unable to reach the prescribed values or detect any measurable variations. The device produced the same readings repeatedly, regardless of the fact that my partner suffers from severe pollen allergies and I myself no longer have tonsils. Testing for borreliosis was entirely impossible. The primary reason we bought the device — borreliosis — could not be fulfilled.
We then attempted to request a refund and return the Test Expert device, but we were unsuccessful. As a result, we asked whether the company could exchange the testing unit for a therapeutic device (Wegamed Med Select). We knew this model was similar to the BICOM system and that, with such a device, we could at least start a small practice, offer bioresonance services in the Czech Republic, and generate some income. The additional payment required was approximately €3,300.
However, no discount was offered on this second device. Altogether, we paid €15,700 for the equipment. It is now November 11, 2025, and we are waiting for a new shipment from Essen, Germany, to finally unpack the therapeutic device and begin working with it.
One week later, an email arrived advertising a Black Friday promotion — a 20% discount on all Wegamed devices. It seems quite evident that Wegamed and their head of sales, Marc Lockman, executed a perfectly calculated commercial move. He recognized that, despite our interest and repeated requests for information, we were unable to operate or apply the original device successfully — and he offered us the highest possible price. Our difficult situation left us with no choice but to accept.
This is a review
Wegamed Med Select:
We approached the company with only two very modest questions — we did not dare to ask more, given the circumstances. We asked whether the Wegamed Med Select is capable of producing drops according to homeopathic dilution principles, and whether the company could provide any customer references for the device. We received no answer regarding the drops, nor any reference information. The company has therefore given us an excellent opportunity to write this review, and they truly do not need to thank us for it.
When we inquired why the device is now significantly more expensive than the testing unit — especially considering that years ago it used to be cheaper — the company again provided no explanation. They simply responded by stating that the device is certified across the entire European Union.
